What do a guitar, peacock, lama, colored powder, and mass crowd have in common? They are all part of the Hare Krishna celebration, "Festival of Colors."
I'm glad we took the journey to the event, otherwise I don't know another time we would get the privilege of taking an HOUR long drive through the town of Spanish Fork (I hope sarcasm translates well on Blogger). The traffic was out of control. Poor little old Spanish Fork really isn't equip for such a turnout. Luckily we had plenty of entertainment along the way. You must try this sometime. It's AMAZING the kind of response you get when you point a camera at total strangers! Most of the time I wasn't even snapping pictures, but the reaction of people outside the car kept us laughing the whole way. I am going to make a wild prediction that Spanish Fork, Utah will be the next Spring Break capital.

Trying really hard to fit in-
A lot of crowd-surfing and shoe throwing going on. Surprisingly there was no alcohol or drugs (that I could see or smell) involved in the event.

I would suggest this festival for the person who loves face and body paint, petting zoos, tropical birds, loud music, and random crowds.
